Paris Live - 2015 Opel Corsa [Gallery update]

The chassis inherits not even a single component.
The 2015 Opel Corsa has premiered at the Paris Motor Show 2014. The fifth generation of Opel's bestseller gets a new design inside out in addition to a new chassis and a fresh powertrain lineup.
The wing shaped headlights with LED daytime running lights, a trapezoidal front grille with a bar carrying the Opel badge, foglamp enclosures with chrome inserts, a narrow secondary airdam and a contoured bonnet define the new gen hatchback's front fascia.
In profile, the conservative styling features the Opel dynamic blade signature. The horizontally split combination lights and a bulky rear bumper round off the design. The car is available in 3- and 5-door bodystyles.
Inside, the completely new cabin features clear and elongated shapes. The mix of sophisticated materials and color themes for the dashboard improve the perceived quality, says Opel. The centre console and gear lever surround are finished in piano black and there is a color infotainment display located below the central AC vents.
The company says that the new chassis does not inherit even a single component from the outgoing car. The new steering and suspension systems are claimed to increase the handling and straight-line stability of the hatchback.
The petrol engine lineup includes a new 1-litre three-cylinder ECOTEC turbo petrol engine which is available in 90 PS and 115 PS states with identical torque output of 170 Nm, a new 1.4-litre turbo petrol putting out 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque and improved 1.2- and 1.4-litre naturally aspirated units.
The diesel engine is a 1.3-litre unit which is available in two states of tune - 75 PS and 95 PS. All the engines comply with the latest Euro 6 emission norms. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic and an Easytronic 3.0 AMT.
