The car which is on display is the flagship Camaro Z/28, claimed to be the most track focused Camaro in the history. The SS and ZL1 variants are also available.

By the looks of it, the front grill and headlamps have become narrower to provide a sharp looking front fascia. The tweaked front bumper has a wider lower air dam and fog lamps. The functional hood vent reduces engine heat and aerodynamic lift.

At the rear, the two piece tail lamp units make way for a single piece units which occupy larger area. A sculpted boot lid, a spoiler and a functional diffuser round off the changes at the rear.

GM says that the design incorporates aerodynamic elements which generate downforce at high speeds and also enable more efficient cooling and high speed stability. The aero pack includes front splitters which are connected to underbody panels to further improve downforce.

The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is capable of 1.05 cornering acceleration which was made possible by comprehensive chassis revisions. The carbon ceramic Brembo brakes can perform 1.5g deceleration.

The Z/28 is 126 kg lighter than the ZL1 due to many weight saving measures ranging from lighter wheels to thinner rear window glasses. The track focused nature is apparent from the fact that the air conditioner is available but only as an option.

On the inside, the car gets new Recaro racing seats with manual adjustments up from and also new seats for the rear. The dashboard gets Octane matte black finished trims. The ZL1 flat bottom steering wheel is carried forward.

The Camaro Z/28 is powered by a lightweight 7.0 litre normally aspirated V8 which is based on the Corvette C6's motor. The engine emphasizes on low kerb weight and weight distribution rather than outright horse power. GM claims that the motor puts out at least 500 bhp with a torque output of 637 Nm, which is transferred to the road via a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission.

However, the ZL1's 580 bhp 6.2 litre V8 remains to be the most powerful engine available on the 2014 Camaro range.
