Spied - Clear images of the Fiat Linea Facelift testing in India emerge
The 2014 Fiat Linea facelift has been caught testing in India once again. Thanks to these high quality images from Rushlane.com, we get a clear view of the car's front, and the design changes that have been made.
The refreshed Linea can be instantly recognized thanks to its new grille and bumper layout. Though the design of the headlights are the same, you should have no trouble in telling a new and old Linea apart.
The same goes for the rear, which also sports a new bootlid. The number plate which is currently housed on the bumper, will move to the bootlid. Moving to the cabin, the dashboard has been redone and the instrument cluster binnacle is new.
Power for the facelifted Linea would come from at least one petrol engine and a diesel engine. The petrol in question is the 1.4-liter T-JET turbo-petrol and we're not sure whether the current 1.4-liter FIRE petrol would continue alongside.
The diesel will either have to be the 1.3-liter MultiJet producing around 90bhp or the larger 1.6-liter MultiJet producing 105bhp.
The Fiat Linea facelift could be launched by the 2014 Auto Expo. Joining the refreshed Linea would be the Linea Classic, which is nothing but the current model (maybe with a few minor design changes) in a repositioned segment.
Fiat India would position the Linea Classic in the C-Lower segment while the refresh would be positioned in the C-Higher segment.
