The 2014 Fiat Punto facelift was spotted on test, ahead of a launch that will take place within the next three months.

The 2014 Fiat Punto facelift will launch before the festive season this year.

The refresh will bring to the hatchback newly designed headlights, a new grille, a new front bumper with chrome-enclosed foglight enclosures and reprofiled taillights. An image of the Punto facelift's front was published by Fiat themselves in their product plan document last month confirming the changes.

Inside, the refreshed Punto takes a page out of the refreshed 2014 Linea in that it shares a similar dashboard with a dual-tone color scheme. The plastics used for the center console, music system and AC vents get a piano-black finish, while the rest of the dashboard is seen in beige.

We don't expect any mechanical changes in the 2014 Punto.

Mechanically, changes are not expected in the Punto, which should continue to be offered with three engine options - two petrol and one diesel. The petrol engines, 1.2- and 1.4-liter four-cylinder units, offer 68 PS and 90 PS, while the 1.3-liter Multijet diesel engine is offered in outputs of 76 PS and 93 PS. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the range.

Apart from the refreshed Punto, Fiat India will launch the Abarth 500 and Avventura crossover in the next six months.
