IAB Report - 2014 MY Hyundai Santa Fe launched in Korea with equipment and styling differences

Hyundai has launched the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe in its home market in South Korea. The 2014 model year update sees a few minor cosmetic changes to the SUV.

The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe gets a lane departure warning system.

On the outside, the updated Santa Fe gets a shark-fin type antenna, restyled wing mirrors featuring LED turn indicators, a new rear spoiler and a new body color called 'Glacier'. On the features front, the 2014 Santa Fe gets a lane departure warning system with a front facing camera.

There are no mechanical or interior changes to the Santa Fe. In Korea, the SUV is offered with a 2.0-liter petrol engine, a 2.0-liter diesel and a 2.2-liter diesel motor. Korean customers also have the option of specifying a body kit on the SUV which adds front and rear bumper spoilers, side skirts, 19-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension and Brembo brakes.

The wing mirrors now get LED turn lights.

In India, the Santa Fe was launched last month at the Auto Expo.

All variants are powered by the 2.2-liter CRDI engine capable of producing 197 PS at 3,800 rpm and 42.9 kgm of torque in the manual and 44.5 kgm of torque on the automatic. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. While the 2WD is available with a manual and automatic transmission, the 4WD is sold only with the automatic gearbox.
