IAB Rendering - 2014 VW Vento facelift
Indian Autos Blog's render artist, Shoeb, has come up with a mock-up sketch of what the predictable 2014 VW Vento facelift could look like.
At the front, the refreshed Vento gets similar design changes as the 2014 Polo facelift where designers have mildly tweaked the headlights and grille of the car. The twin slat chrome grille is replaced by a black grille featuring a chrome strip underline. The headlights meanwhile, are largely reminiscent of the current Polo/Vento models, though different mirror elements are used.
The front bumper is all new and features new foglight enclosures highlighted with chrome accents. The current Vento features circular foglights, which could be revised to the ones you see in this render.
VW currently sells the Vento with three engine options - a 1.6-liter petrol, a 1.2-liter TSI petrol and a 1.6-liter diesel. While the two petrol motors would continue on the facelifted Vento, reports suggest that VW would reduce the displacement of the 1.6-liter diesel to 1.5 liters. Improved drivability, higher fuel efficiency and the economies of large scale usage are cited as reasons for doing so.
The Polo facelift has commenced testing in India and could be out in the middle of this year. We expect the refreshed Vento to be introduced by the end of this year.
