Audi has revealed the next generation Audi TT at the Geneva Motor Show.

The 2015 TT is powered by two engines - a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged TFSI petrol engine that makes 230 hp and peak torque of 370 Nm between 1,600-4,300 rpm and a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine that delivers 184 hp and peak torque of 380 Nm - featuring start/stop system as standard.

While the diesel variant will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and comes in front-wheel drive, the TFSI variant gets a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive or a six-speed S tronic and quattro all-wheel drive.

In terms of exterior design, the new TT gets a revamp within the widely recognized silhouette. The third-generation TT gets a single frame horizontal grille with a 'V' across the hood. Xenon plus headlamps are standard and Audi can optionally provide LED headlights or the Audi Matrix LED technology, where high-beam is generated by controllable individual LEDs.

In terms of construction, thanks to the use of high-strength and ultra high-strength steel alloys, the new TT loses around 50 kg.

On the inside, the instrument cluster and MMI unit have been combined to form a single central digital unit - the so-called Audi virtual cockpit. The controls for the aircon are placed directly on the air vents.
