LA Live - 2015 Chrysler 300

Features plenty of minor changes.

The 2015 Chrysler 300 has been unveiled at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Though the car looks largely similar to the current version, optical changes include a bigger grille, new sharper headlights and minor changes to the lower air-intake area.

Interior changes include new materials, 7-inch display that comes standard, a new 8.4-inch touchscreen display and a Uconnect infotainment system with WiFi access "on demand".

The 2015 Chrysler 300 is powered by a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine with outputs of 292 bhp and 352 Nm transferred to the rear axle (AWD is optional) via the 8-speed AT.

The mid-level 300S variant is powered by the same engine which develops a stronger 300 bhp and 357 Nm, whereas the top-end HEMI V8 5.7-liter engine generates 363 bhp and 533 Nm, passed on to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission that comes on all variants.

Some of the internal changes to the 2015 MY 300 include new cast aluminum axles, updated power steering, tweaked adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and forward collision warning.

The Chrysler 300's production will begin in the coming weeks with prices starting at $32,390 (INR 20.06 lakhs).
