2015 Ford Figo snapped in India with minimal camouflage - Spied
Will also spawn a compact sedan rivaling the Maruti Dzire.
Ahead of its launch this year, CarToq has managed to snap the 2015 Ford Figo hatchback with minimal camouflage. The car, which is already on sale in the Brazilian market, will also spawn a sub-4 meter sedan for India. The latter, according to Indian Autos Blog's sources will enter production before the end of the first quarter of 2015.
Key to its design are the flared headlight clusters and the signature Aston Martin-like grille element seen on modern day Fords. The prototype in this image also sports features like foglights, alloy wheels, wing mirrors with integrated turn signals, an integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop light and a rear wiper.
Power for the hatchback will come from a petrol and diesel engine, the latter being the 1.5-liter four-cylinder unit found on the EcoSport and new Fiesta. The petrol unit would be a 1.0-liter three-cylinder motor, basically the EcoBoost unit without the turbocharger.
For the Indian market, as well as several export markets which Ford India ships cars to, the new Figo and Figo-based sedan will be manufactured at the new Sanand plant in Gujarat.
