Ford has unveiled the 2015 Ford Focus (facelift) at the Geneva Motor Show. This is the car's first update since its debut at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. The car will be launched in the second half of 2014.

The Focus will retain its engine options, besides the pairing of a 6-speed manual transmission to the 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine, which the company says will make it more fuel efficient than before.

On the outside, the Focus gets a restyled hood and grille, new headlamps and taillights, and a restyled trunk lid. In the US, the car will be available in four-door and a five-door versions. Inside, new colours and materials for the cabin, along with satin chrome detailing, new seat trims, switches and an optional heated steering wheel are the highlights. There's also a new centre console that incorporates an adjustable cupholder.

Standard on the Focus, rear view cameras would stream on to either a 4.2-inch screen or an 8-inch screen that comes with MyFord-touch equipped models. There's also a lane departure warning system and a blind spot identification system.

Apart from styling upgrades, the Focus will receive a new shock absorber valve design, a new ESP and upgraded rear suspension.
