2015 GTA Spano teased ahead of launch in Geneva - IAB Report

Changes include a new engine and body materials.

Spanish supercar manufacturer GTA will be unveiling an updated version of their sole product, the Spano, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, and have released a teaser confirming the launch.

The new GTA Spano will feature LED taillights, a more-prominent rear spoiler, a quartet of exhaust tailpipes, and an aggressive rear diffuser.

The teaser reveals a part of the Spano's rear section, which appears to be heavily reworked as compared to the old model. As depicted, the rear features new LED taillights, a more-prominent spoiler, a quartet of exhaust tailpipes, and an aggressive diffuser.

GTA has also revealed that the new Spano's body will be constructed with a mix of carbon fiber, Kevlar, titanium and graphene (a thin layer of pure carbon), which promises to be lightweight yet extremely rigid.

The other big change for the new Spano is the motor under the hood. GTA has gotten rid of the 900 bhp 8.4-liter supercharged V10 engine in favor of an in-house developed 8.0-liter twin turbo V10 engine producing 922 bhp and a whopping 1220 Nm of peak torque (22 bhp and 220 Nm torque increase over the previous car).

With the lightweight body and a powerful engine, the new GTA Spano is capable of doing 0-100 kph in 2.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 370 km/h.
