Confirmed to launch in July 2015.

Honda Cars India has confirmed a July launch for the all-new third generation Jazz, which for the first time will come with a petrol and diesel engine. Earlier in the month, Honda Cars India's senior vice-president for marketing and sales, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, confirmed that the Jazz will be produced at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan.

The petrol variant of the Jazz is expected to get the CVT apart from a manual transmission.

However, both car production facilities of Honda Cars India (Tapukara and Greater Noida) are currently running at full capacity, to cater to the demand of the Honda City and Amaze, the two best-selling products at the moment. As a result, the car maker would juggle production between its models to accommodate the new Jazz.

According to a report on Autocar Professional, the Brio will likely see production cuts as its demand is anyway between 1,000-1,500 units a month. During the initial months of the Jazz going on sale in India, Honda is likely to favor the Jazz over the Brio as the former is expected to account for more volume owing to its petrol and diesel option.

The top-end Jazz will get a touchscreen navigation-cum-entertainment system.

The petrol variant of the Jazz will be paired to manual and CVT gearboxes, while the diesel will be matched to a manual transmission only.
