Rendering - 2015 Viano gets Mercedes' latest design language

Last week, we showed you an official sketch of the 2015 Mercedes Viano MPV. The next generation people carrier is slowly taking shape and here is a speculative rendering created by Xtomi.blogspot.ru.

The MPV would enter its third generation in 2014. The first generation was called the Mercedes Vito and it entered production in 1996. It was then succeeded by the Viano in 2003. Interestingly, the Vito will start a new life in India under the guardianship of Force Motors. Coming back to the next gen Viano, the MPV adopts Mercedes' latest design language that is seen on the A Class and CLA.

The image of the current gen model is added for your reference.

The headlamps are a far cry from that of the current van as the curvy element makes way for a peeled back multi-edged element. The profile of the vehicle is unlikely to undergo any significant change. The shape of the window line has become a trademark of the Viano. The rear is expected to be revised like the front fascia. Overall, the next gen Viano would look van-ish, but more premium and in tune with the times.

The details on the powertrain options are limited as of now but the transmission duty should be taken care either by the 7G-Tronic or the new 9-speed auto transmission.
