Indian Autos Blog showed its readers an accurate mockup of the new Skoda Fabia earlier this week. The rendering, which was based on revealing spy images, highlights the design of the front and side of the hatchback.

The rendering we're showing you today focuses only on the rear of the VW Polo's cousin.

The 2015 Skoda Fabia will be revealed towards October this year.

The taillights, which seem to use LEDs, are clearly influenced by that of the new Octavia. The C-Type taillights are called so as the brake lights resemble that of the alphabet. The design of the bootlid reminds us of the new Rapid Spaceback as does the black applique above the number plate.

The new Fabia is reported to use a modified version of the current platform, instead of the modern MQB architecture as moving to the MQB platform would have driven up the cost of the car. Even the engine options are to be mostly carried over from the current model.

The 2015 Fabia has its unveiling set for the Paris Motor Show in October this year. The hatchback would go on sale in European markets later this year, with first customer deliveries starting in early 2015. In India, Skoda could introduce the new Fabia in the next couple of years.
