2015 Suzuki Swish launched at INR 56,482 - IAB Report
No mechanical changes.
Suzuki Motorcycles India Private Limited recently launched the new Swish 125 scooter. The bodywork on the new scooter remains almost unchanged, with the addition of new blue-lens position lamps and multi-reflector lights.
In terms of features, there is a new digital instrument cluster that adds more functions such as service reminder, dual trip meters and digital clock. Additionally, there is now a maintenance free battery, tubeless tyres and a steel fender which is easy to repair.
The Suzuki Swish 125, as the name suggests, comes with a 124.5 cc single cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.58 bhp and 9.8 Nm of torque and is mated to a CVT gearbox. For braking, the scooter employs a pair of 120 mm drum brakes, both front and back. Unfortunately, unlike the Honda Activa 125 there is no front disc brake as an optional extra.
For storage, the Swish provides a generous 20 litres of underseat storage, which is the second best in class, trailing behind the Mahindra Rodeo’s 22 litre underseat storage. The Swish and the Suzuki Access 125 provide the second largest fuel tank in their segment at 6 litres, only to be beaten by the Vespa LX’s 8 litre tank.
