2015 Toyota Grand New Avanza arrives at dealerships - Indonesia
Features a reworked front end.
Initial units of the 2015 Toyota Grand New Avanza have begun arriving at dealerships across Indonesia, ahead of its debut on August 20 at the 2015 GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show).
The dimensions of the facelifted Avanza and Avanza Veloz have also surfaced online. According to the report, the Grand New Avanza measures 4,190 mm in long, 1,660 in wide and 1,695 high, while the Avanza Veloz is 10 mm longer. Compared to the outgoing model, the facelifted Avanza and Avanza Veloz is 50 mm longer, while rest of the dimensions remain identical.
Inside, the Toyota Grand New Avanza and Grand New Veloz appears to be similar to the outgoing model, save for new features a 2-DIN music system with a 7-inch touchscreen, ISOFIX rear seats, and a two tone black and beige color scheme. It will also come equipped with an engine immobilizer as standard across the range.
Under the hood, the lower variant is powered by a 1.3-liter 4NR-FE engine with dual VVT-i. Reportedly, the engine now features an aluminum engine block, making it lighter and more efficient. Power is expected to bump to 99 hp and 123 Nm of torque, which is sent through a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The other engine is a more powerful 1.5-liter 5NR-FE sourced from the Chinese-spec Toyota Vios, which produces 107 hp and 140 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic.
