2016 Alfa Romeo Mito (facelift) - Rendering
Punto-based hatchback could debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
The Alfa Romeo Mito was launched in 2008 and its life is being extended by a facelift that is to launch shortly, which was recently spied testing. The spyshots revealed a face which is quite different from the one it currently has.
Adrien Salle of French website abcmoteur has rendered the upcoming facelift based on the pictures.
The front end has received the most significant revisions, now featuring a more upright face. The V-shaped grille is bolder and wider with the entire front bumper made of widely-spaced mesh for the radiator grille. The headlights still get chrome surrounds but may sport LED units.
There is no word on the interior but it is safe to expect features such as seven airbags, Alfa climate control, cruise control, electric door mirrors with demister, and a Uconnect 5-inch entertainment system with Bluetooth and voice controls.
The current crop of 0.9- and 1.4-liter turbo petrol engines are good to continue. The 900 cc petrol engine generates 103 bhp and 145 Nm while the 1.4-liter produces output ranging from 133 bhp to 167 bhp for the top-end Quadrifoglio Verde variant. Gearbox options are the 5- or 6-speed manual as well as the 6-speed TCT dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
