2016 Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo - 2016 Geneva Motor Show Live

Will be sold in North America as BMW Alpina B7 xDrive.

Alpina has introduced the third generation Alpina B7 Bi-turbo at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show today. The 2016 Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo, to be sold as the 2017 BMW ALPINA B7 xDrive in North America, is available only in long-wheelbase version.

The 2016 Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo will be available in the ALPINA Blue metallic and ALPINA Green metallic Alpina-exlcusive exterior colours, as well as in regular BMW and BMW Individual paint finishes. Decorative stripes, officially known as the ALPINA Deco-Set, are available optionally and can be applied to the front and sides in either Silver or Gold.

Up front, there's a new bumper and a lip spoiler with Alpina lettering on them. At the sides, the all-new B7 features 20-inch, 20-spoke ALPINA CLASSIC light alloy wheels. 21-inch ALPINA CLASSIC wheels made from high-strength forged aluminium will be available optionally. A sporty rear bumper and rear lip spoiler round-up the exterior.

Inside, the 2016 Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo features Nappa leather seats, leather-covered instrument panel, ceramic inserts on selected control elements, soft close doors, LAVALINA leather-wrapped sports steering wheel with blue and green stitching, Piano lacquer/Myrtle Luxury Wood interior trim and door sills with blue illumination, ALPINA B7 branding and an individual plaque.

There's also an exclusive full-color LED instrument panel which, in Comfort Mode, offers a classic look featuring round instruments with blue background and red needles, but in Sport Mode, turns the drag indicators blue and red and focuses on primary information like the driving speed for instance.

Under the bonnet, there's a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 447 kW (608 hp) and 800 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a ZF 8HP75 8-Speed Sport-Automatic transmission, and allows the car to reach from 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and go further to hit a top speed of 310 km/h. Drivetrain layout choices include rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
