2016 Audi Q7 spotted in India again - Spied
New generation Q7 to premiere at NAIAS next month.
Here are more spyshots of the second generation 2016 Audi Q7 testing in India, courtesy of Team BHP member Dr. Parag Aland. Revealed earlier this month, the new Q7 will have its public premiere next month at the NAIAS (Detroit Auto Show) while European sales will start in mid-2015.
The highlight of the new generation model is its weight loss, which is a sizable 325 kg over the outgoing model. This has resulted in a 26 percent improvement in fuel efficiency according to the manufacturer.
The new Q7 measures 5.05 meters in length, 2.99 meters in wheelbase, 1.97 meters in width and 1.74 meters in height. At the time of launch, it will be offered with two engine options, both being 3.0-liter V6 units. The 3.0 TFSI will produce 333 hp and 440 Nm of torque, sprint from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and hit a top-speed of 250 km/h.
The 3.0 TDI, which is an important model for India, makes 272 hp and 600 Nm of torque, does the 0-100 km/h run in 6.3 seconds and achieves a top-speed of 234 km/h.

The Q7 is currently assembled at Audi India's Aurangabad facility, and the new generation model is expected to be sourced through the CKD route as well.
