2016 BMW 7 series (India bound) to feature 'Sky Lounge' and leather engine cover - Report
Expected to launch next year in India.
Pictures of the 2016 BMW 7 series (codenamed G11/G12) were leaked on the Internet, showing the undisguised exterior of the vehicle, and a glimpse of the interior as well. To keep the topic fresh, a report by BMW Blog says that the car might feature an optional panoramic glass roof "Sky Lounge" and a leather engine cover.
The panoramic glass roof will not just present a good spectacle, it will also make the cabin feel more airy. The leather engine cover on the other hand, would keep up with the premium quotient of the car. Both these will add to the long list of features speculated for the car including a touchscreen-based iDrive system, Bower & Wilkins Audio System, an i8-like intelligent keyfob etc.
As for the engines, an earlier report has mentioned that new four cylinder, 2-litre units (both petrol and diesel) will be added to the base models, while the larger engines will continue in the range. A V12 (petrol), expected to deliver power close to 600 hp, will sit at the top of the range.
