LA Live - 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Sedan & Coupe
0-96 kph in just 3.9 seconds.
The 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Sedan and Coupe have premiered at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Termed as the "dual-purpose luxury performer," the ATS-V's looks is characterized with a mesh grille and larger air intakes. A front splitter, ventilated carbon fiber hood, aerodynamic side skirts, large rear spoiler, a quad-exhaust system and 18-inch alloy wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are the serious exterior appointments.
Cadillac gives customers the option of equipping the new cars with either the Carbon Fiber package or the Track package.
The former brings a bigger front splitter and fiber hood vent trim and a rear diffuser made of carbon fiber to the vehicle. The Track package adds to the Carbon Fiber package, a lighter battery and a data logger.

The interior is mostly built from the parts of the standard car, but has a carbon fiber trim, unique instrument cluster with graphics, while buyers can opt for Recaro leather seats.
The ATS-V is powered by a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 engine that develops 455 bhp and 603 Nm of torque, and can be linked either to a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters behind the steering.
Cadillac did not speak about the performance numbers but said the ATS-V would accelerate from 0-96 kph in just 3.9 seconds and reach a max speed of over 297 kph.
Mechanically the car rides on a stiffer chassis with stronger braces, revised suspension, electronic limited-slip differential, uprated Brembo brakes and Magnetic Ride control.
The 2016 Cadillac ATS-V lineup goes on sale next spring in the USA.
