2016 Chevrolet Spark (Beat) dashboard exposed - Spied

Debuts on April 2 in Seoul and New York.

Korean auto site BobaeDream has leaked the first interior shot of the 2016 Chevrolet Spark (Chevrolet Beat in India).

The motorcycle-inspired instrument cluster is nixed for an integrated design in a 'V' formation.

The motorcycle-inspired instrument panel has been given the boot and in place comes a continuous design that flows into the center console.

The Spark shares the same dashboard architecture as the Opel Karl.

While basic dashboard architecture and some parts are common with the Opel Karl (the Spark is a rebadged Karl), it gets is own instrument cluster with a speedo dial in the center and the tacho on the left, a two-tone dashboard, and what appears to be a different trim on the center console.

Shared components visible are the steering wheel (with the bowtie), aircon vents, touchscreen, gear knob and glove compartment.

The new Spark is expected to sport a 75 hp 1-liter petrol engine paired to a five-speed manual gearbox.

The 2016 Chevrolet Spark will premiere at motorshows in Seoul and New York on April 2. Its market introduction should follow a few months afterward. Note that the Beat successor for India, as per IAB sources, would be a different car, based on the Amber platform.
