2016 Honda Freed spyshots reveal all sides of the vehicles

Reported to launch in Japan this August.

Headlight Mag has acquired spyshots of the next generation Honda Freed from various angles. It's expected to go on sale in Japan from August, followed by Indonesia from early next year.

The new spyshots offer a closer look at the 2016 Honda Freed, which will feature an evolutionary exterior design influenced by Honda's latest design language. The front end has a 'Solid Wing' face flanked by sleek headlamps, redesigned bumper with a larger radiator intake, and a reprofiled engine hood.

The side profile as well as sliding doors for rear occupants look largely similar to the current Freed, save for the new A Pillar design. At the back, it gets new taillamps repositioned towards the D-pillar, new bumper design housing vertical reflectors, and a roof spoiler.

The 2016 Freed should download the dashboard from the new City/Jazz, with touch-sensitive controls for audio and HVAC, and a new steering wheel.

One of the biggest upgrades will be the inclusion of the 1.0L three cylinder Turbo engine, which could be sold alongside the current model's 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated i-VTEC (petrol) engine. However not all countries may offer the new turbocharged engine. Expect the engines to be matched to a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and a 7-speed stepped CVT.
