Red 2016 Hyundai Elantra spotted in Korea - Spied
Will be unveiled later this year.
The 2016 Hyundai Elantra, codenamed Hyundai AD, will be unveiled later this year. Ahead of its launch, it has been spied with camouflage in a sporty red body colour, in South Korea, by an AutoSpy user.
The spy pictures like the previous ones, show a bigger horizontal-slat grille, larger projector lamps with LED DRLs and vertical LED strips on the bumper. Coming to the side, there are sleek looking mirrors, swooping roofline with shark fin antenna and a rising beltline at the start of the C-pillar. At the back, it gets elongated taillamps likely to be introduced with redesigned LED clusters.
There is no information on the interior or features but premium materials and upgraded equipment are expected to lend an upmarket feel to the cabin. Features likely are adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and a new high-end JBL Surround Sound system.
Under the hood a 1.6-litre T-GDI petrol unit that does duty on the Tucson where it generates 175 hp, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, could power the mainstay variants.
