2016 Hyundai Elantra spied testing on video
Expected to debut in September.
Courtesy of Team-BHP reader, Sumair Malik, a video of the 2016 Hyundai Elantra testing in Delhi has surfaced online. The next gen Elantra is expected to launch in September in India, according to reports.

The exterior of the 2016 Hyundai Elantra is influenced by Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. Spyshots reveal that the India-spec Elantra gets sleek projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, large hexagonal grille with chrome inserts, 16-inch alloy rims, LED taillights, shark fin antenna and parking sensors. It measures 4,570 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,800 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.
A spyshot of the interior has revealed that the 2016 Elantra will get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, automatic climate control, cruise control, rain sensing wipers and start/stop button.

Engine lineup could include the 2.0 MPI and 1.6 VGT. The former is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 149 PS (146.90 hp) and 183 Nm of torque, while the latter is a 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 136 PS (134.09 hp) and 306 Nm of torque. Transmission options are reported to be a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
