2016 Hyundai Tucson launched in India at INR 18.99 Lakhs

Offered in three trim levels - 2WD MT, 2WD AT GL and 2WD AT GLS.

Hyundai has launched the 2016 Hyundai Tucson in India today, marking the return of the 'Tucson' nameplate. It is offered in both petrol and diesel variants spread across three trim levels - 2WD MT, 2WD AT GL and 2WD AT GLS, and prices range between INR 18.99 Lakhs - INR 24.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

Petrol variant:

  • Hyundai Tucson 2WD MT: INR 18,99,000
  • Hyundai Tucson 2WD AT GL: INR 21,79,000

Diesel variant:

  • Hyundai Tucson 2WD MT: INR 21,59,000
  • Hyundai Tucson 2WD AT GL: INR 23,48,000
  • Hyundai Tucson 2WD AT GLS: INR 24,99,000

Prices range between INR 18.99 Lakhs - INR 24.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi)

The diesel variant is powered by a 2.0-litre CRDi engine available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed auto, which produces 185 PS at 4,000 rpm and 40.8 kg.m at 1,750-2,750 rpm. It is capable of averaging 18.42 km/l for the manual variant and 16.38 km/l for the automatic variant.

The petrol version packs a 2.0-litre dual VTVT also paired with a 6-speed auto or manual, which develops 155 PS at 6,200 rpm and a peak torque of 19.6 kg.m at 4,000 rpm. It is capable of returning a fuel economy of 13.03 km/l and 12.95 km/l with the manual and automatic gearbox, respectively.

Some of the standard features in the top-end GLS grade include dual-barrel LED headlamps, 18-inch diamond-cut wheels, powered tailgate with height adjustment, electric parking brake, 8.0-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), hill-start assist control (HAC), downhill brake control (DBC), brake assist, front parking sensors, 10-way power adjustable driver seat, and keyless entry and go.
