Hyundai has showcased the replacement to its current midsize crossover ix35, the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. In Europe, it will be manufactured at the company's plant in Czech Republic, while the sales will begin in the second half of 2015.

The Tucson offers a rugged, Santa-Fe like styling, all packed into 4,475 mm length, 1,850 mm width, and 1,645 mm height.

It will be powered by a range of petrol and diesel engines that includes a base 135PS 1.6-litre petrol, and a turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine that makes 176 PS. The diesel line-up includes a 1.7-litre unit that makes 115 PS and a larger 2-litre engine that will be available in two states of tune: 136 PS and 184 PS. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, and a dual clutch 7-speed automatic transmission.

The feature-laden SUV gets LED headlamps, heated front seats, parking assist, autonomous braking system, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, and even an active bonnet system.
