Will be seen at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.

Jaguar had showcased the Jaguar XE at the 2015 Thailand Motor Expo. Jaguar's entry-level sedan will be kept on display at the Auto Expo coming February.

The exterior design of the XE borrows heavily from the F-Type sports car. The front end features projector headlamps with J-shaped LED DRLs, a mesh grille, large air intakes and a contoured hood. The flanks carry a fender vent with the rear having an F-Type inspired taillight LED cluster and a subtle boot spoiler. The XE has dimensions of 4.6 m, 1.85 m and 1.4 m in length, width and height respectively.

The interior has a neat layout with the multi-function three-spoke steering wheel again similar to what is seen on the F-Type. The instrument cluster has a dual-pod setup with a large MID. The dashboard is covered in leather with the 8-inch touchscreen at the center, to access the InControl Touch infotainment system.

The Jaguar XE is powered by a new range of 2.0-liter four cylinder petrol and diesel engines with output for the base turbo petrol being 200 hp / 280 Nm, and the base diesel churning out 163 hp / 380 Nm. The performance XE 'S' variant powered by the F-Type’s 3.0-liter supercharged V6 petrol engine punching out figures of 380 hp and 450 Nm. All engines except the V6 can be paired either with a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission.
