Meets Euro IV norms.

A trio of 2016 KTM RC390 test mules have been snapped testing in India by MotorBeam. The model was unveiled at the 2015 EICMA in November.

The international-spec 2016 KTM RC390 features side-mounted exhaust and ride-by-wire systems among other new additions.

The new RC390 gets a prominent exhaust canister instead of the underbelly unit, and a larger front brake rotor of 320 mm in diameter, which round up the visual distinctions. The other additions include switchable ABS, ride-by-wire system, and a few other enhancements. The new RC390 is compliant to Euro 4 emission norms courtesy of the new exhaust system.

The latest iteration of the RC390 that was launched earlier this year in India included always-ON headlamps (by removing the ON/OFF switch), fuel tank Vapour Recovery System, slipper clutch, adjustable front brake and clutch levers, improved NOK seals and new plastic flaps on fork, upgraded radiator fans, increased thickness on brake discs, new ECU mounts, better seat cushion, redesigned pillion seat assembly, reengineered alloy wheels and enhanced paint quality.

There is no change in the power and torque outputs on the 2016 RC390 compared to its predecessor.

The latest RC390 launched as the 2016 version is priced at INR 2.09 lakhs (ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai). The next model with the side-mounted exhaust is expected to cost around INR 10,000 higher.
