Lexus will soon unveil the third facelift for their flagship SUV, the 2016 Lexus LX, which will be launched alongside the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser - the model it's based on.

The rear of the 2016 Lexus LX sports striking L-Shaped LED taillights, new reflectors, and a bigger roof spoiler.

Courtesy of Instagram user @hamad1two3, the facelifted Lexus LX has been photographed in the metal for the first time, giving us a better look at the changes in tow. Note that the facelifted model has been completely revealed via leaked official renderings, and that the new images are inline with them.

The 2016 Lexus LX takes an evolutionary step forward with a striking design that borrows cues from Lexus’ latest product lineup. It features a larger Lexus Spindle grille flanked by sweptback LED headlamps with longer “L-shaped” LED DRLs. Coming to the side, it gets a more-pronounced kink in the D-pillar design, and new alloy rims designs, while the rear of the Lexus LX sports striking L-Shaped LED taillights, new reflectors, and a bigger roof spoiler.

The interior represents a much bigger change over the outgoing model. The 2016 Lexus LX comes with a new dashboard housing smaller HVAC vents, analog clock, and a generous helping of wood and chrome trim.

The new center console features the large Enform infotainment display which is navigated via a mouse controller on the center tunnel. The steering is now a 3-spoke multifunction unit sitting in front of a new instrument cluster. A head-up display could also be added in the options list.

The 2016 Lexus LX has changes in its seat, trim, and buttons and other switchgear.

The only engine offered by Lexus is the 5.7-liter V8 petrol in the LX570 variant, which delivers 362 hp at 5,600 rpm and 530 Nm at 3,200 rpm. An eight-speed transmission could replace the current six-speed automatic gearbox, while an intelligent 4WD system with different terrain modes will remain standard.

Both the 2016 Lexus LX and 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser have begun arriving in the Middle East, suggesting that a market launch is not too far away.
