2016 Mazda BT-50 pickup (facelift) revealed in spyshots - Report

Expected to launch in Thailand in July this year.

HeadlightMag has more revealing spyshots of the 2016 Mazda BT-50 pickup (facelift), which is expected to launch in Thailand next month with updated styling and revised features.

The BT-50 is based on the Ford Ranger T6 which saw a facelift in March this year.

According to the source, the 2016 BT-50, which is based on the Ford Ranger T6, will come in a total of 16 models spanning four variants: Single Cab, Open Cab, Open Cab Hi-Racer, Double Cab Hi-Racer and Double Cab 4x4.

The redesigned front fascia now subscribes to Mazda's KODO design language with its peeled back headlights, a chrome enclosed grille element and the new bumper with redesigned enclosures. Over to the sides, new diamond-cut alloy wheels appear to be the only changes, and according to reports, major changes are not expected at the rear of the pickup.

A reverse camera and a new MZD infotainment system would the notable changes inside.

Coming to the features, the report states that the BT-50 facelift gets a reverse camera, an optional leather seating package, and Mazda's MZD Connect infotainment system. However, no changes are reported for the engines (3.2-liter and 2.2-liter diesel engines and 2.5-liter petrol engine) or transmission.

The 2016 BT-50 will come in a total of 7 colors, with three all-new color schemes (Titanium Flash, Snow Flake White Pearl and True Red). Further details are expected in the coming days.
