2016 Mercedes SL (facelift) snapped with redesigned front end - Spied [Video]
Likely to debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show.
The facelifted Mercedes SL has been spotted testing in Sindelfingen by Youtube user WalkoArt. Given its minimal camouflage and production ready form, it could make its debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show, along with the Mercedes SLC (facelifted SLK).

Spyshots reveal a new face that is similar to the 2-door Mercedes-AMG GT. The front-end features the new Multibeam LED headlamps, flanking the now-familiar diamond pattern grille. The lower fascia has also been re-profiled for a more-aggressive look. While the side remains largely identical to the outgoing model, the rear will feature a re-designed bumper and exhaust tips.
The interior is expected to get a overhaul, with respect to the build quality and equipment. It is expected to feature Merc's new 3-spoke steering wheel, latest COMAND infotainment, and a new button configuration. It will be upholstered in ARTICO leather and offer new color combinations for a fresh visual appeal.

The 2016 Mercedes SL could retain the 333-horsepower twin turbo V6 from the current model as well as a retuned version of the same engine for an AMG Sport variant. A full fledged Mercedes-AMG developed model is expected to continue offering the 5.5-liter twin turbo V8, instead of the 4.0-liter V8 from the AMG GT.
