The new Outlander's exterior is more up market thanks to the new “Dynamic Shield” X-shaped front bumper, which is part of Mitsubishi's new design language. The front end gets a generous helping of chrome and gloss black plastic, as well as new Xenon headlamps with LED DRLs, complimenting the premium look. Inside, the steering wheel, interior trim, and the audio and navigation display have undergone a redesign. A new windshield, rear door glass and increased sound-deadening material make the cabin quieter, Mitsubishi claims. It comes equipped with a dual-zone HVAC system, heated front seats, steering-mounted paddle shifters, a Mitsubishi infotainment system with GPS navigation, support for Bluetooth pairing, and audio streaming.
