Interior is also expected to be given upgrades.

Mitsubishi is gearing up to reveal the Outlander facelift at the New York Auto Show which starts for the press on April 1, 2015. The SUV is set to get significant cosmetic changes with design inspiration coming from the Outlander PHEV Concept-S showcased at last year's Paris Motor Show. Spyshots of the production-ready car have revealed significant details.

Our in-house digital rendering artist Shoeb Kalania has used the concept and the spy images to base his digital mockup of the Outlander facelift, but giving it a production-ready bumper and grille design. The X-shaped front bumper is given chrome highlights, but the LED daytime running lights seen on the Concept-S won't make it to the production model.

Designers have opted for a redesign at the rear as well with new taillights and bumper. While spyshots haven't shown the interior, reports say that new dashboard trims and a new touchscreen infotainment system will lend the cabin a more upmarket look.
