2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport micro site goes live - IAB Report
To make its debut on August 1 in Thailand.
Ahead of its confirmed world debut on August 1 at the 2015 Bangkok International Grand Motor Sale, the dedicated microsite of the 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has gone live. It features a teaser of the model and a count down for its world premiere.
Revealed completely in new spyshots, the 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport/2016 Mitsubishi Montero Sport/2016 Mitsubishi Challenger is the second model to feature the dynamic shield front fascia with sleek headlamps and LED daytime running lights. At the back, it features a striking pair of vertically-oriented taillight clusters, which is very different from the outgoing model. Top model trims will get 17-inch alloy wheels, 8-way adjustable driver’s seat and steering mounted controls.
Based on the new Mitsubishi Triton (L200) pickup, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is expected to source the all-new 2.4-liter four-cylinder MIVEC turbo-diesel engine from the Triton, which outputs 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque through a 6-speed transmission and on to the Super Select 4WD system.

For the Indian market, the current Pajero Sport is assembled at Hindustan Motor Finance Corp’s (HMFCL) Tiruvallur plant in Tamil Nadu. With CKD kits manufactured in Thailand, the next generation model could continue being assembled at this plant when it launches in India post February 2016.
