2016 Peugeot 3008 - Rendering

The 2016 Peugeot 3008 will be based on PSA Peugeot Citroen’s EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform 2) platform.

The Peugeot 3008 crossover, currently in its first generation, is set to receive a full makeover in 2016 for its second generation. The 2016 Peugeot 3008 should have a more mature and robust appearance, with cues borrowed from the Peugeot Quartz concept. The all-new model should be completely like a crossover, unlike the current model which is has a mini-MPV appeal. Renderings by Julien Jodry from Auto-Moto depict how the second generation Peugeot 3008 may look like.

The 2016 Peugeot 3008 will borrow cues from the Peugeot Quartz concept, and look more like a crossover.

While the exterior would be very masculine, in terms of both design & styling, the interior would be very sophisticated and refined. The driver-focused 'i-Cockpit' would have a compact steering wheel positioned deliberately below the instrument panel and a very neat dashboard for a premium look. The 'aircraft cockpit' toggle switches are likely to stay, albeit with tweaks.

Based on the PSA Peugeot Citroen’s EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform 2) platform, the 2016 Peugeot 3008 will be offered with Euro 6 petrol and diesel engines. Come 2017, Peugeot will launch a hybrid variant of the 3008, only this time the hybrid variant won't be diesel-electric, but rather a typical petrol-electric. The Euro-spec Peugeot 3008 will continue being built at the Sochaux plant in France.
