The current, first generation Peugeot 3008 is said to receive a full redesign and enter its second generation this year. Spyshots have revealed the new interior of the all-new 3008, indicating a fully digital instrument panel and a new steering wheel design, but not much has been seen apart from that. Now, two official images of the second generation 2016 Peugeot 3008 have surfaced on the web that reveal its interior in detail.

The interior is heavily inspired by that of the Peugeot Quartz concept.

The 2016 Peugeot 3008's interior is heavily inspired by that of the Peugeot Quartz concept that was shown at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The i-Cockpit layout is apparent; the instrument panel is purposely placed way over the flat-bottom, compact steering wheel. The steering wheel being compact makes driving easier, while the instrument panel, which appears to be fully digital here, shows information without distraction and with clarity because it's positioned above the steering wheel.

Other features seemingly include dashboard mounted colour touchscreen infotainment system, electronic parking brake and fighter jet like toggle switches.

The next-gen Peugeot 3008 will be based on the PSA Peugeot Citroen’s EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform 2) platform and be offered with Euro 6 petrol and diesel engines. In 2017, the range will expand with the launch of a petrol-electric hybrid variant. The Euro-spec second generation model will be built at the company's Sochaux plant in France. The China-spec model will be locally produced.
