Not-for-India 2016 Skoda Superb Combi revealed with 1950lt boot - IAB Report
Boot space up by 27 liters over its predecessor.
Following the introduction of the 2016 Skoda Superb, the VW-owned car maker announced the estate version of the luxury sedan. The 2016 Superb Combi (2016 Superb Estate) will have its motor show debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and sales will commence in Europe in the same month.
Based on the new MQB platform, the new Superb Combi can accommodate 660 liters of luggage with all seats in place, which is an increase of 27 liters over the previous generation model. With the rear seats folded, boot space increases to what Skoda calls a best-in-class 1,950 liters.
Power for the new Superb Combi will come from the same EU6 four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines seen on the Superb notchback. These engines are claimed to be 30 percent more efficient than the previous model.
Skoda's SmartLink (MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), an optional high-speed internet connection and Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) are few features the Czech manufacturer has confirmed in its press release.

Skoda started making an estate version of the Superb since 2009. Till date, it has sold over 200,000 copies of the Superb Combi and the estate accounts for 35 percent of all Superbs sold since 2009.
However, for the Indian market, Skoda will only bring the sedan/notch bodystyle, with reports claiming a launch in the second half of 2016.
