To be launched next year.

The next generation 2016 Skoda Superb will make a public debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, and will be sportier looking than the current version, according to sketches released by the company. While official sketches were released in the past, this time it is IAB's in house designer Shoeb Kalania presenting his version of the car.

2016 Skoda Superb rendering front three quarter
The engine lineup for the 2016 Skoda Superb will consist of four cylinder petrol and diesel units.

The rendering shows a well-chiseled front end, with Skoda's trademark grille positioned upright on the fascia. The lights now include a Skoda Octavia-like LED daytime running lamp treatment while the bonnet features prominent creases. On the whole, it looks sharper than every single variation of the Superb made till date. In terms of design, it resembles the VisionC concept.

The new Superb will be powered by a range of four-cylinder petrol (TSI) and diesel (TDI) engines. Previous reports suggest that a plug-in hybrid variant could be added at a later stage. In terms of dynamics, the next-generation Superb would be longer than the new Volkswagen Passat it shares its platform with.

The interior is said to have benefited from the slight increase in overall length while the boot capacity has increased as well. Skoda is yet to release the numbers though, and these are based on reports of early ride-alongs Skoda conducted for the European media.
