The new Fortuner is likely to be offered in both petrol and diesel variants. It will source its engine lineup from the Innova Crysta, where the petrol variant is likely to pack a 2.7L VVT-i four cylinder engine paired to a 6-speed AT, while the diesel variant will offer two engine options: 2.4L or 2.8L four cylinder turbodiesel GD units. Transmission options for the latter include a 6-speed manual and automatic, while a 4WD system is likely to be equipped in the top-end 2.8 variant.
