The 2016 Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo has made its motorshow debut at the 2016 Bangkok International Motor Show. The second generation Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo is essentially about sportier styling and extra equipment, with the mechanical aspects remaining mostly same as the standard variant.
The 2016 Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo is available in two exterior colours: White Pearl CS and Attitude Black Mica, with the former offering a two-tone scheme with white as the dominating colour and black finish for the roof. Other visual highlights include sportier bumpers, 20-inch TRD black wheels, TRD door sills, chrome TRD muffler and TRD Sportivo badge on the tailgate.
The interior of the all-new TRD Sportivo variant features TRD instrument cluster, TRD push start system, T-Connect infotainment system with 7-inch touchscreen display, two-tone (red-black) seats and TRD floor mats.
Under the bonnet, there's the standard 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV turbo-diesel engine that develops 130 kW (177 PS) and 450 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via 6-speed automatic transmission with Sequential Shift and Paddle Shift. The TRD Sportivo variant is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The sporty variant has a special suspension package and brakes.
