The 2016 Toyota Hilux will be introduced in Brazil on November 18.

The latest pick-up sits on Toyota's new QDR platform with increased rigidity and strength over the outgoing model. Models sold in Asia are equipped with a list of active safety features that include Active Traction Control (A-TRC), Downhill Assist Control (DAC) and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) for better 4×4 capabilities.

The exterior has a large set of projector headlamps with LED DRLs that flow into a trapezoidal 3-slat grille, clamshell bonnet, bigger wheel arches, redesigned set of taillamps and a new handle-bar. The interior scraps the utilitarian design for a more car-like layout with enhanced comfort and features. Top-end variants will get a large “floating” touchscreen display, push button start, automatic climate control, steering-mounted controls, cruise control and leather upholstery. Safety sees a vast improvement with the inclusion of seven SRS airbags and features like Electronic Brake Assist.
