Spied - IAB reader snaps a portion of the 2016 Toyota Innova's dashboard

The new Innova will be revealed next year.

Indian Autos Blog reader, Mr. Pradeep Moras snapped the 2016 Toyota Innova testing on the Mysore-Bangalore highway, near Bidadi, where Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has its manufacturing facilities.

The new Innova's interior will be evolved from the current generation model.

The image above gives a small peek into the dashboard of the second generation MPV. The Innova's dashboard, compared to its rivals, has always been car-like with well laid out buttons and controls, and choice of materials used. The outline of the new Innova's dashboard shows that it gently slopes downwards from the driver side to the passenger side, hinting that the newer model will sport an evolved look.

More than the dashboard, the new Innova is expected to better the current generation model in terms of space, with test mules indicating that engineers have added some length to the MPV at the rear.

Horizontally arranged taillights are seen on the new MPV.

Design wise, the Innova would borrow a few styling cues from the new Corolla Altis. The flared headlights get similar LED daytime running lights (which Toyota calls Position Lights), and towards the rear the new Innova gets horizontally stacked taillights, ditching the current model's vertical setup.
