Rendering - Early sketch of the 2016 Toyota Innova based on spyshots

Our friends at Autonetmagz have created an early rendering sketch of the next generation 2016 Toyota Innova. The rendering is based on spyshots of camouflaged prototypes of the new Innova. The prototypes have hinted that the new Innova will get a larger greenhouse with a sharply cut third window section, which is accurately represented in the render.

A more edgier and slightly larger Innova will replace the current model come 2016.

The front of the new people mover will get a more edgier and aggressive styling with better profiled headlights and grille. However, the silhouette of the car is unmistakable for anything other than an Innova.

The second generation of the MPV will be based on an all-new ladder-frame chassis, and the overall size is expected to grow marginally. The increased dimensions should contribute to better interior space and boot volume than today's model.

Powering the new Innova will be Toyota's new range of diesel engines, which are expected to be more fuel efficient than the current model. The NVH package of the car would be fine tuned to make the cabin a quieter place.

Building on the success of the current generation Innova, the successor is expected to launch in India in 2016.
