2016 Toyota Innova to be showcased at Auto Expo 2016 - Report
Launch expected at a later time in 2016.
According to Autocar India, the second generation Toyota Innova will make its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2016 on February 3, contradicting few reports stating that the new Innova will give the motor show amiss.
To be produced at Toyota Kirloskar Motor's plant in Bidadi, Karanataka, the new Innova measures 4,735 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, 1,795 mm in height and 2,750 mm in wheelbase. One of the biggest changes is the all new downsized 2.4-liter GD diesel engine, which is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
A report suggested that TKM is considering launching petrol variants of the Innova and Fortuner, post a Supreme Court ruling last month which banned the sale of diesel vehicles with engine capacities greater than 2,000 cc in NCR for the next three months.

Available in G, V and Q grades in Indonesia, some of the features in the new Innova include a 7-inch touchscreen display with support for voice commands and Bluetooth. The Innova V variant features a TFT screen for the MID, ambient LED lighting, an 8-inch entertainment system, and automatic climate control, while the top-end Q trim has all-auto windows and Smart Entry Key. The exterior has LED headlamps, 17 inch alloy rims, chrome inserts for dual-slate grille, foglamps, new L-shaped taillamps and a shark fin antenna.
