Could be unveiled in H2 2017.

Based on spyshots of the next generation Audi A7, Autobild has created a couple of renderings to offer a better look at what could be the final production-spec design of the Mercedes CLS/BMW 6 Series/Tesla Model S challenger. The new A7 may make its world debut as early as H2 2017.

The 2017 A7 will have a longer wheelbase, wider tracks, short rear overhang, and feature slender LED lights.

The exterior styling of the next gen Audi A7 will be influenced by Audi's new design language, which was showcased by the Audi Prologue concept. It features a wide Singleframe hexagonal grille flanked by sleek headlamps, new bumper design and new LED taillights. The design will be evolutionary, but will look curvier and flatter than before. It retains the flowing roofline that defines the A7 bodystyle and the retractable spoiler.

The next gen Audi A7 will be based on the second generation MLB platform, and appears to have a longer wheelbase, wider track and shorter overhangs. With the new platform, it will be considerably lighter than the current A7.

The next gen Audi A7 will be based on the second generation MLB platform and feature an advanced autonomous driving tech, air suspension, digital instruments and 'Ultra Quattro'.
