2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS to continue with underbelly exhaust
Bajaj has officially confirmed the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS for a comeback.
More spy shots of the bike of the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS have surfaced on Facebook from a dealer stockyard. Meeting BSIV norms, the bike will launch in the coming days.
The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS was discontinued in 2015 to give momentum to the newly launched Pulsar RS200 and Pulsar AS200. The bike makes a comeback to bring in more sales volume for Bajaj in the 200 cc segment. The bike continues to sport an underbelly exhaust.
The 199.5 cc mill will be coupled to a 6-speed gearbox and will most probably continue to be a carburetted model. Bajaj though might pull a fast one and launch a fuel injected version. The engine is capable of producing 23.52 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm.
The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS gets new decals, the most prominent of which is visible in the tank extension. Colour options based on the models showcased at a dealer event in Turkey and spy shots include white, red and black.
Back in BSIII era, the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS had a kerb weight of 151 kg. However, with the inclusion of a reworked exhaust system, the bike is bound to gain a few kilos, hassling the power to weight ratio of the motorcycle.
The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS will be competing against the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200 and the recently launched Yamaha FZ 25.
