Indian-spec 2017 Chevrolet Beat gets 7-inch touchscreen system

Spotted featuring a new 7-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system.

Bunny Punia has acquired spyshots of the 2017 Chevrolet Beat hatchback, a couple of which reveal the final interior design for the first time. The Maruti Celerio alternative is scheduled to go on sale in India early next year.

The 2017 Chevrolet Beat adopts a dual tone beige and black interior with fabric beige seats and a new center console.

Instead of a full black interior like the outgoing model, the new Beat adopts a dual tone beige and black interior with fabric beige seats, a new center console design with larger HVAC vents and silver trim, chrome bezel for the round HVAC vents and a new instrument cluster with chrome accents. The highlight is a new 7-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system, which could be exclusive to the range-topping grade.

The exterior is heavily inspired by the the international-spec Chevrolet Spark. The new Beat features an updated Chevy 2-part grille flanked by bulbous headlamps, chrome embellishers on the grille and headlamps, roof rails, round foglamps on either side of the lower bumper, new taillamps and a re-positioned registration plate area.

The new Beat will retain the current model’s M300 platform. Reports suggest that the engine options will be a 1.0L petrol engine and a 1.0L TCDi diesel engine. The 2017 Beat family will have a crossover derivative Beat Activ and a compact sedan Beat Essentia.
