2017 Chevrolet Beat spied undisguised, launches early next year

Expected to be launched in early 2017.

General Motors has started testing the 2017 Chevrolet Beat without any camouflage in India. Carwale has published undisguised spy shots of the 2017 Chevrolet Beat, exposing the new generation model's final design.

The redesigned Chevrolet Beat will be based on the current Beat platform. This model is a low-spec, lacking alloys, foglights or body-coloured fittings.

The 2017 Chevrolet Beat borrows cues from the internationally sold fourth generation Chevrolet Spark for its front fascia, but its proportions mimic those of the outgoing model. The profile seems to have remained largely unchanged, while the rear-end gets a restyled tailgate, bumper, tail lamps and horizontal reflectors.

Like its exterior, the 2017 Chevrolet Beat's interior, which has also been revealed in spy shots. Changes have been brought with new elements from the Chevrolet Beat Essentia concept. The new generation model gets two-tone interior featuring matte silver centre console and chrome garnish around the HVAC vents. High-end variants will be available with the Chevrolet MyLink2 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2017 Chevrolet Beat is expected to be listed with a 1.0-litre diesel engine and a 1.2-litre petrol engine.

Based on the same platform as the outgoing model, the 2017 Chevrolet Beat is expected to be offered with a 1.0-litre diesel engine and 1.2-litre petrol engine in India. It will have also spawn an adventure variant named Chevrolet Beat Activ.
