2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport - Geneva Motor Show Live
To go on sale this summer in the U.S. and in the fall in Europe.
GM has unveiled an all new Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport that is based on the current gen Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet has confirmed that it will go on sale this summer in the U.S. and in the fall in Europe.
The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport has an aerodynamic body kit inspired by the more powerful Chevrolet Corvette Z06. An optional Z07 package adds carbon ceramic-matrix brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Cup tires for better handling.
It is available with the Corvette Stingray’s full exterior and interior color palette, and a Heritage package adds the hash-mark fender graphics in six colors, with the hash-mark detail also being carried onto the interior’s brushed aluminum trim.
To distance it from the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the Corvette Grand Sport packs an LT1 V8 engine rated at 460 hp, with dry-sump oiling system and active exhaust. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed automatic unit. The Grand Sport comes standard with magnetic ride control and an electronic limited-slip differential.
